Death of a Friend

Like any person working close with technology, as a filmmaker, my computer has become almost like a close friend.  I love my computer.  It almost never has problems, and so imagine my horror when one evening my MacBook Pro went to sleep and didn't wake up again.  Since it had been with me for four years, it had plenty of issues--thinking it had less memory and space than it really did.  Still, it had personality, and maybe that's what makes losing a computer so hard for someone who relies on technology.  It becomes a part of your life... and you aren't even aware of just how much until you don't have it anymore.  In the end... it'll always be your computer though.  So, I suppose it makes sense to start this blog at the beginning of a new chapter in life... both for life and technology.
